Sharon G. Sabourin, Lawyer

Sharon

Sharon G. Sabourin Law Office is a sole practioner firm located in Timmins, Ontario.

Ms. Sabourin came to Timmins as an articling student at the Crown Attorney’s Office and subsequently worked as an associate at the Maisonneuve Labelle LLP before setting her sights on opening her own practice in July of 2013.

Ms. Sabourin has extensive practice in the areas of family and criminal litigation at the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

In previous employment, Ms. Sabourin was a senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Health Promotion in Toronto, Ontario. She worked with the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy and managed the implementation of the Smoke-Free Ontario Act and Regulations throughout the province.

Ms. Sabourin has a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Masters Degree specializing in Health Promotion from the University of Western Ontario. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2009 and was called to the bar in June 2010.

As she came to law as a second career, having a job outside of law has provided her with a broader understanding of common problems that clients face in their legal battles. This has also allowed her to understand the real life skills needed to be a good lawyer such as persistence, humility, compassion and common sense. These skills, paired with her post-secondary education, make her an excellent advocate.
